Healing On The Streets Week 5
Feb 14th, 2010 | By Chris | Category: Missions News
Well what can I say except…Praise the Lord !!
We started at the church with prayer and asking God for His presence to be with us in the square again. Someone had a word of knowledge that we would be dealing with addiction, so we prayed about that. We also spent some time praying for the spiritual atmosphere of the square to be changed and that people’s blindness would be removed.
Soon after being in the square it was apparent that we were giving away far more flyers than ever before and that people were happy to take them, then a guy (Michael – good heavenly name !) arrived who was known to one of the team and he wanted to play his guiter and sing us two songs, as this did not involve him in any ministry to the public other than singing we agreed that he could sing his two songs.
No sooner had he started then we could sense the atmosphere changing and even more people were attracted to us. Then one chap sat in a chair who was addicted to alcohol and after some prayer, whilst Michael was singing about God being mighty to save the chap in the chair was in tears receiving Christ as his saviour! He stayed with us for a while but when he left he went with a new spirit and a Bible to read. His friend also received prayer for healing and release from gambling addiction.
I know I keep saying this but God is so good, so very good to us.
Please continue to pray for this ministry as we seek to expand the team with recruitment and training in March. Oh, and Michael’s second song was “these are the days of Elijah” You better believe it !
