Pastoral Network Groups

Groups set up to provide PREVENTATATIVE Pastoring in the Church, based on Exodus 17 and the fact that Moses couldn’t manage to personally Pastor everyone. With this model in place, it takes away the limit on the number of people that can be effectively pastored

AIMS

  • Place people in a group that works for them
  • Everyone cares for everyone else on the list
  • 24/7 groups “virtual cells”, based around visits, prayer, care, phone calls, texts, emails etc rather than just organised meetings
  • Group Leader takes Pastoral responsibility, but everyone uses their gifts
  • Have regular get-togethers within Sunday Services too, where the group can discuss how to serve eachother.
  • The groups will be regularly reviewed  changed as necessary to accommodate numerical growth

Leaders

The responsibility of the group leaders is to:

  • Encourage members in the above
  • Speak to their group on a Sunday Meeting and fill in attendance sheet
  • Visit and contact as necessary
  • Inform the Minister of any problems

The Minister will pastor the leaders of these groups and will try to regularly meet with them to:

  1. Pastor the group leaders
  2. Discuss and pray for  the group members
