While great bands such as Red Rock & Stop were playing, we were busy charging up phones and giving out coffee for free… because we think that reflects the unconditional love of the God we serve :-)

"Phone charger Abbey"

It was by far the wettest day of theyear, but the Fringe Festi soared into Day 3! Thanks to the outdoor BBQ team and the amazing bands… STOP rocked the house and got a deserved encore, with an amazing drum finale from Rich Baker, bettered only by his testimony about how Jesus healed his back and turned his life around! Chrystalle did some great songs too… she is soooooooo talented!

We reckon there were about 30-40 festival people who stayed for most of the service, having their phones charged, drinking coffee, drying out and hearing the Good News. They’re a generous crowd… we weren’t asking for money, but over the weekend over £200 was put in our Compassion tin, towards Prety, our little girl from India, that we support.

Day 3 saw… the return of Ladderman and his able sign-changing assistant Stephen, along with another super hero, “Phone-charger Abbey”… she managed to find a charger for everyone!

Tony was pied (can’t have it all his own way!), but managed to get a little message in first about how Jesus spots us, even in a crowd, and will change our lives for the best! Overall, another AMAZING DAY… THANKS EVERYONE!

This piccy proves how happy people are to have their phones charged! No one left without a personalised “God loves you” sticker… Trudy was our top giver-outer!

RED ROCK did a 2 hour plus set and were amazing… better than anyone at the festival I reckon. Got my photo taken with them… because they WILL be famous! 

We did over 100 hot dogs, loadsa jugs of coffee n tea. Thanks to all the team, particularly Helen, Tina & Abbey (pictured)… she’s a natural!

NEW for 2011 was the PRAYER TENT (pictured)… it was really good to have it there, bringing a spiritual emphasis to the proceedings… thanks Chris & Gina!

Can’t possibly thank everyone who helped here… but you know who you are, so THANK YOU! See you tomorrow, whatever the weather!

Put God loves you “BEES” (photo) up on the sign- a request from Martin Gibson , who is working with “Let it Bee” at the Festival. Fantastic day all round… still buzzing… Tony x

Wednesday, we were at Barton playing fields for the East Newport Children’s Centre Open Day.
Thursday, we were up at Park Life Mini, at Carisbrooke High.
It’s great to be seen as part of our community… a great advert for Jesus… who always met the people where they were at!
Thanks to Rick, Cecile (who also supplied us with noodles!) and Chris, who helped out. Also to Paul & Paula, who helped at Park Life and Jamie who set up the castle on both days.
