Appeal re Maryam and Marzieh
Nov 24th, 2009 | By Chris | Category: Church Blog, Missions News
The news that we have been waiting to happen for so many months is now here thanks to your prayers. We praise God that Maryam and Marzieh have been released from prison in Tehran. The conditions of release are not yet fully known but we will let you know at a later date. These two young women refused to deny God, despite this meaning they could have faced a death sentence. Their story has impacted Christians across the globe and brought a new level of boldness and determination as we share the gospel. But this is just the beginning. Both Maryam and Marzieh have suffered physically and they have incurred enormous legal costs. Therefore we are asking the Elim family if you would give to help this faithful couple.
Monies raised will go towards their substantial legal and medical bills. The cost of defending them has been high and both Maryam and Marzieh have suffered physically and will therefore need expert medical help over the coming months. There will be other major costs but I’m sure you will understand it isn’t wise to share such plans in an open email like this. For further information please feel free to contact the Missions Office on 01684-588940 or costs but I’m sure you will understand it isn’t wise to share such plans in an open email like this. If you can help, please send cheques payable to ‘ Elim International Missions’ to the address below marked ‘ M & M Iran’.
On behalf of Maryam and Marzieh, thank you
